Launch of New "User Community"

Today marks the Official Launch of the New "SMP User Community".  You asked for an avenue where you can share ideas and ask questions with other SMP users and we heard you. Our new On-line User Community is just the place to do that.

From within the Community you will have the opportunity to share ideas, swap stories, ask questions and give answers on using Sales Management Plus from other SMP users. You will also have a place for you to leave your suggestions to us on what improvements can be made with SMP and comment on others suggestions.

We will be monitoring the community as well so our answer to someone else's question may be just the thing you are looking for.

Also within the community is an industry calendar so if something important is coming up that pertains to the electrical community you can log it.

The Community is located at http://www.salesmanagementplus.com So help us make the "community" a success - start posting your questions, and giving answers.

Director of Product Development Joins TMMG
I want to thank all of you for your input recently in the SMP User Survey. Due to the responses we received we have a clear path forward in making Sales Management Plus even better for you as a sales and marketing tool. With that in mind I would like to announce a new addition to the Taylor Market Media Group, Scott English.

Scott comes to us as our
Director of Product Development. With exceptional skills in computer programming and loads of new ideas of how to make Sales Management Plus faster and more intuitive, Scott is currently  redesigning the Market Analysis screen to give you more information and to see it the way you want. He has also been busy reworking the SMP Email engine so that it will no longer need to send through Outlook.

We are excited that Scott has joined us and for the advancements he will bring to TMMG.

Understanding Market Analysis Filter Criteria

Selecting filter criteria is how you specify which customers are included in a market analysis list . Once you select filter criteria and click Run, the List frameupdates and displays a list of customers (with sales and profit data) that meet the selected criteria.

The filtering of market analysis lists is based on the AND concept—finding all the customers that meet the first criteria AND meet the second criteria AND meet the third criteria. For example, a regional manager might need to know which of the company’s largest customers are assigned to a particular account manager. To display a list of these customers, the regional manager should select the account manager AND sales greater than $1,000 as filter criteria.

You can select only one filter criteria if that creates the list you need, or you can make selections for almost all the filter criteria. Generally, the more filter criteria you select, the smaller your list of customers will be.

The Market Analysis screen has six categories of filters:

Don't forget to put your contacts on Marketing Lists

We all know it has been slow out there so make sure you take advantage of all opportunities and put your contacts on marketing lists. Your marketing department might be sending invitations to Open Houses, Seminars or they may be taking advantage of MarketPro to send a monthly newsletter out.
