Using Sales Management Plus with Office XP

The latest version of Sales Management Plus will now work in machines that has Office XP installed  Version 5.30 has been posted to the website at http://www.salesmanagementplus.com/DownloadCentral.htm

Because SMP 5.30 still runs on the Access 2000 platform the following steps must be taken for XP users.

  1. Install the Access 2000 Runtime.  Access 2000 runtime is available at our website in Download Central. You only need to load this if you are using Office XP.
  2. Install SMP 5.30
  3. Run the "Detect and Repair"  option on the Office XP setup program (found by going to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Microsoft Office).  This will re-associate files that should be opened with Access to Access XP, instead of the Access 2000 Runtime.
  4. SMP will automatically be associated to open with Access 2000 runtime

Using the Parts Analysis Module you can filter for customers based many different criteria that you set.

You can filter for all customers

  • who purchased a particular part number within a specific date range!
  • by Product Level 1,2 and 3
  • who have purchased part #1 OR part #2 OR part #3 OR part #4 OR part #5 OR part #6
  • who have purchase part #1 AND part #2
  • who have purchase part #1 BUT NOT part #2

Once you have created your list you can easily convert it into a marketing list. To learn more about using the Part Analysis feature click here.
